Thank you for choosing the NMC Medical Centre , Deira for your US medicals.
BOOKING YOUR APPOINTMENT
You can book your appointment for the US Medical by email or phone. However, in the event that no appointments are available you can come in as a walk-in client.
If you come with an appointment the entire process including examinations investigation will take approximately 3-4 hours.
If you walk-in without prior appointment waiting time will increase and your medical may take more than 4 hours. All walk in clients should arrive before 9.00 am.
We are located at the Al Safiya Bldg, Sallahudin Road, Opp Abu Hail Metro Station, Deira- Dubai. UAE.
We are open on all days except Friday.
For booking your appointment please email to appointmentdeiradxb@nmc.ae stating you name, contact number and preferred date and time of appointment. An email confirming your appointing or requesting alternative timing will be sent to you.
Alternatively you call +971-4-2339966/67 and speak to our receptionist who will be happy to assist you.
DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENT
The following documents are required for the US Medical:
• Original Passports and three copies of the first 2 and the last 2 pages of your passport
• 5 passport size photographs (35 mm x 45 mm) with white background,
• Vaccination Record in English (if any) &
• Embassy Appointment Letter,
You will be required to provide the following:
• Present Address of Residence and Postal Code of Residence,
• Intended US City and State of residence,
• Intended US Address and postal code and
• Email address,
Please bring your eyeglasses (if any).
THE MEDICAL PROCESS
On the day of the medical please report to the reception desk with the mentioned documents.
Your will meet panel physical where you will be required to provide relevant health history followed by an examination.
You may be required to complete certain mandatory vaccinations. The need for vaccination is assessed by the physician based on clinical history, age and past history of vaccination. If vaccination is required, separate charges shall apply.
Following this you will be required to undergo an x-ray and provide a blood sample for testing
You will be accompanied and guided by a nurse throughout the process.
There is no need to come fasting for the examination or investigations.
COMPLETION OF REPORT OF MEDICAL
Adults (applicant aged 14 years and 6months or more):
If tests are completed before 12 noon, completed reports shall be available for collection after two (2) working days, provided the clinical examination, X-ray and blood tests are all normal.
If tests are completed after 12 noon, completed reports shall be available for collection after three (3) working days, provided the clinical examination, X-ray and blood tests are all normal.
Any abnormal test result would require further evaluation and the result will be delayed further investigations. In such even you will be advised on the possible availability of your result.
In case of certain abnormalities notedin chest x-ray which require further investigation(sputum culture for AFB), issuance of the report will be delayed by 8-10 weeks.
Request for urgent reports (same day reporting, provided tests are completed before 9.00am) may be entertained in select cases. Urgent charges will apply in these cases.
Children (applicant between 2 years and 14 years and 6months):
Children require a mandatory blood test for tuberculosis. This test is reported after four days.
For children completed reports shall be available for collection after four days,
COSTS
The cost for the US Medical for adult applicants is AED 525. This includes consultation and examination, x-ray and blood test.
For urgent reports, mentioned earlier, the charges are AED 750. Urgent charges are non-refundable in the event the test results are abnormal and further testing is required.
For children the cost for examination and blood test for tuberculosis is AED 650.
Vaccinations, if required, are charged separately depending on the type of vaccination required.
